Coach and Team Assignments 

Coach and Team assignments have been emailed to each player.  Please look in the spam folder for YDSC emails.  

 

Late Registrants - Wait List

Players who registered after the registration period that ended on 8/21 have been placed on a Wait List. They will be assigned to existing teams provided that slots are still available. Any late registrants who cannot be placed on a team will be notified.

Prior registration is required for participation. There will be no same day registration.

 

Uniforms

Each player will be given a jersey and a pair of soccer socks.  The uniform will be provided by the Coaches on the field prior to the scrimmage on Opening day.

Players are required to bring their own:

  • Shin guards    (To prevent injuries, players may not practice or participate in games without shin guards)
  • Shorts/athletic pants: 
  • Appropriate footwear:  (Soccer cleats are recommended but sneakers can be worn. Other cleats, such as baseball and footballs cleats, are not permitted due to safety reasons)
  • Water

 

Soccer Cleat Donation Program

If you have any clean, gently used cleats you would like to donate, please bring them to the soccer field. Maybe you will find another pair that fits.

No Rec Soccer Games

Parking

Parking is available at both Mattacheese Middle School and ME Small School.  

 

No Pets

Pet animals are not allowed on the fields at any time.   

 

No Smoking

Smoking and vaping is not allowed on the fields or parking lots at any time.   

 

Inclement Weather Cancellations

In the case of potential inclement weather, please check Facebook and the YDSC website www.ydsoccer.org. The fields will be evaluated throughout the morning and game decisions will be made for each age group.

 

Practices

Pee-Wee and Kindergarten:        Saturday practices at 8:30. Game immediately afterward.

Grades 1 - 8:     1-2 Weekday practices. Day/time chosen by the coach.
